MarketMaker is a Chrome extension that connects the MarketMaker trading keyboard workflow to supported TradingView chart pages and to a locally running MarketMaker desktop companion app.

This policy covers the Chrome extension only. The separate desktop companion app may have its own behavior and packaging requirements.

What the extension accesses

The extension runs only on supported TradingView chart pages and may access data on those pages that is necessary to provide its features, including:

• chart symbol and timeframe
• TradingView and broker connection status
• position and order-related values needed for supported trading actions and automation helpers
• page URL on supported TradingView chart pages

The extension also stores extension data locally in Chrome storage, including:

• extension settings and preferences
• profile selections and profile-related settings keys
• runtime trading state used by extension features, such as positions, Auto BE state, and pending Auto BE removals
• onboarding state
• local error logs

When an error is recorded, the stored diagnostic entry may include:

• timestamp
• extension version
• runtime context
• error message and stack trace
• current page URL
• browser user agent

If you click a copy-errors action in the extension UI, the extension may copy error details to your clipboard at your request.

How the extension uses data

The extension uses this data only to provide its user-facing functionality, including:

• connecting the MarketMaker keyboard workflow to supported TradingView charts
• triggering supported trading actions from the keyboard
• showing connection and system-health state in the popup
• saving user settings and extension state locally
• helping the user inspect or copy local error details for troubleshooting
  
  

How data is shared

The extension does not sell user data.

The extension does not send user data to the developer's remote servers for analytics, advertising, profiling, or resale.

The extension may exchange necessary command and state data with:

• supported TradingView chart pages inside the user's browser
• the user's locally running MarketMaker desktop companion app over ws://localhost:9091

Other than that local companion-app connection, the extension does not intentionally disclose collected extension data to third parties.

Data retention

Extension settings and locally stored state remain in Chrome storage until the user clears the extension's data or removes the extension.

Local error logs are stored in Chrome storage and capped to a limited number of recent entries.

Security

The extension is designed to limit its site access to supported TradingView chart pages and to keep its stored extension data inside Chrome extension storage on the user's device.

The extension authenticates its local companion-app connection before processing keyboard commands.

Your choices

You can stop the extension from handling data by:

• disabling or removing the extension
• clearing the extension's local storage
• closing supported TradingView chart pages
• stopping the local MarketMaker desktop companion app
  
  

Chrome Web Store compliance statement

MarketMaker uses user data only for the extension's disclosed single purpose and related operational needs. It does not use collected data for advertising, data brokerage, or creditworthiness decisions.

MarketMaker's handling of extension data is intended to comply with the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
